Indonesia has many natural resources, but empowering natural resources not implemented perfectly. A lot of natural resources potential is wasted because the less knowledge to manage it. Survey of GfK Asia-a ( a media ) claimed that gadget is a product of the most purchased in Indonesia.  Based on a survey with Smartphone sales in the Southeast Asian region in 2013 , Indonesia has predicate as first rank buyers of smartphones than any other countries. The countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Philippines. With a total accumulated Smartphone purchases of US $ 10.8 billion, sales of smartphones in Indonesia reached US $ 3.33 billion (30.8%).

Yayasan Lembaga Konsumen Indonesia ( in Sumartono, 2002 ) tells consumerist behavior is human tendencies to use the consumption without limit and more concerned with the want factor of the desire of the needs. Consumerist behavior can be experienced by all ages, professions, and standard of life. The reason of consumerist behavior were varied. According Sumartono (2002), the emergence of consumer behavior is caused by two things:
1. Internal Factors Internal factors has affect to the consumerist behavior is the motivation, self-esteem, observation, learning, personality and self-concept.

2. External factors
External factors has affect to the consumerist behavior is a consumer of culture, social class, social groups and references of families.

Basically, people who have the consumerist behavior is not because of his own, but also because the products offered . The characteristics of consumerist behavior is likely to think of themselves, a tendency to use the money for something are consumables, less motivation for saving, the lifestyle. An example of the consumerist behavior is buying goods and services excessively and not according to their needs. Consumerist behavior is dominated by the Indonesian  peoples hobbies to spend his money on foreign products. The  amorousness of Indonesian  people against foreign products have several reason,  including the reasons of the high award of interest against foreign goods, the quality of foreign products, poor quality of Indonesia-made products than foreign products, the lack knowledge of Indonesia domestic-made products have a high quality,  the lack of social sensitivity of Indonesian people  towards the nations economic condition. This causes a weakness of empowering national resources  in Indonesia due to the loss of market target in the country.

One of the reason of the level of consumption in Indonesia is less of knowledge about the economic conditions of the nation. Up to the year 2015 recorded poverty in Indonesia as much as 28.59 million ( according to data of the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) ). The value of the money spent in 2010 recorded shopping abroad and buying foreign products Rp 59 trillion, and the cost of transportation of Rp 238,6 trillion. But, it didn't make all expenditure budget wasted in Indonesia. This  also causes  in low economic growth in Indonesia. This also causes in the loss of societal awareness of potential of the nation.

Indonesian people need  the tool that provides information about the nation's economic and potential natural resources.
